
ALAYNA OBY, LCSW
Alayna Oby, LCSW received her Masters degree from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in Social Work in 2014 and is currently a doctoral candidate in the Department of Counseling Psychology at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Alayna has trained and worked at various mental health settings including inpatient psychiatric and outpatient VA hospitals, correctional facilities, and community counseling centers treating a wide range of clinical presentations using multiple evidence-based treatment modalities.
Alayna developed her penchant for coaching and training through her doctoral coursework. She has completed consultation work in the Madison area at universities and non-profit organizations. She has also taught online multicultural courses at UW-Madison for several years. Additionally, Alayna enjoys partnering with communities to host workshops that provide resources and education promoting wellness and quality of life.
Finally, Alayna’s research at the University of Wisconsin - Madison centers around best practices for psychotherapy effectiveness and empirically supported training solutions to improve client outcomes in the helping professions.
